Why don’t you write about movies currently in the theater?
Because like most people I watch movies at home. I got tired of screaming little kids, people talking through movies, sticky floors, weird smells and amazingly uncomfortable seating a long time ago. I can also thank the movie studios for starting to release about 15 seconds after they leave the theater.
I noticed that you don’t necessarily review new DVD or Blu-Ray releases. Why is that?
Simple: Nobody is giving me movies to write about so I review what I own.
You said ‘own’. Does that mean you don’t use Netflicks?
Hell no! What’s the point? Movies are cheap to buy. I can own them forever and if I don’t like them, they make great coasters.
So what sort of setup do you watch your movies on?
I have a big-ass HDTV with Blu-Ray and upconvert DVD HDMI cabled in. I also have a nice Sony hope theater system. Behind the HDTV, I have some indirect lighting washing up the wall so I don’t burn my retinas out.
I have a movie I want you to write about. How can I make this request?
Easy. See that big comment box below this? Put a comment in there for what movie you want me to view. Better yet, just send me a copy of it and I’ll watch it, write about it and keep it forever.
